hey we're building a simple in-game chat on iOS that allows users to join a channel and message eachother. I'm trying to figure out how to enable those users who have joined a channel to get push messages when their phones are backgrounded. Can you point me in the right direction?
There is a link to more docs at the end of that article. Let us know if you have follow up questions.
So, when we send a message into a channel from User A (https://www.dropbox.com/s/s397l972mi8smyt/Screenshot%202014-12-19%2015.40.13.png?dl=0 ) we simply add to the JSON we're already sending, and all other users on that channel will automatically get push messages/real time messages depending on their device's current status? incredible.
At a simplistic level, yes. You may discover that your requirements require a modified approach but this covers most use cases.
its working :) thanks for the help!
Cheers! If you could, please mark as accepted answer.
i cant find where to accept as answered.. where is that option?
Jordan, you should see something like this: Did this answer the question? Yes • No on any of the replies. If not, no worries.
